ok freaky, a firewall is kinda like a gate between the internet and his home network. Except that this gate has over 65000 doors. He needed to know which doors warpath used so that he could keep them open. does that make sense? If not oh well.

His firewall was not his problem. Anyway, the firewall triggers itself when you run the game, telling you that the game is trying to reach the internet throught what ports.
Here, like most ppl connected now, he has a modem/router/nat. And, as usual, when you wanna run a server (any kind) while being behind a NAT, you are not seen from outside your local network
So, a solution is to map the ports in the NAT table so there is a correspondance between the ports inside the network and outside.
But, you already know that ... you made me write for nothing, i hate you for life !

as for you freaky, get 2 pcs, or one good one and run both apps at the same time.

Also i was gonna double post this, but since i am not doing that i will write it here. we need to just make one thread to talk about all this stuff lol. we spend more time switching back and forth than typing
