are there more islands in New York? Also, when people say they are from New York, I tend to think they are from the city, rather than the state meaning that they live in NYC, not just NY state. I guess though that is like the people who i tell them I live in Lousyana, and they say that I live in New Orleans. I say no, believe it or not, there are other cities in Louisiana......

also, did your translation work with altavista or did you try the directors website?

New York is huge compared to some states. I do live in NYC. Manhattan is the only island. Long Island isn't really an island.But if you really look at a map, Long Island, Brooklyn and Queens are seperated from the rest of the city by a river.

French:
New York est énorme comparé à quelques états. Je vis dans NYC. Manhattan est la seule île. Le Long Island n'est pas vraiment une île. Mais si vous regardez vraiment une carte, le Long Island, Brooklyn et les reines sont seperated du reste de la ville par un fleuve.

Spanish:

German:
New York ist verglichen mit einigen Zuständen sehr großes. Ich lebe in NYC. Manhattan ist die einzige Insel. Long Island ist nicht wirklich eine Insel. Aber, wenn du wirklich ein Diagramm betrachtest, sind Long Island, Brooklyn und Königinnen seperated vom Rest der Stadt durch einen Fluß.
